Women's Activity Group

 All women are invited to participate in the Women’s Activity Group “First Friday” Walks!
 
WAG is open to all women and we would love to have you and your friends join us for our first Friday walks.

 
Friday, August 6 - Low Tide Walk
We will meet at  8:10 at the Golden Gardens Parking Lot

Hello walkers,
Thanks to Betty and Guy Falskow we found a low tide that will match our walk date and time of August 6 - note earlier start at 8:15.  There is a minus 1 tide.  Betty and I did the walk last Tuesday and it took about an hour each way including looking in tide pools.  Wear shoes that you are willing to get wet since there are some very shallow streams (about 1-2 inches deep) that could be there, depending.
 
DETAILS
Meet at 8:10, start walk at 8:15 (note earlier start to accommodate low tide)
Golden Gardens parking lot near the brick bath house
Beach walk from Golden Gardens to Carkeek and back
Roundtrip flat walk about 5 miles (about 1 hour each way)
Bathroom stop at Carkeek
Bring water and snack if desired
Wear shoes that are sturdy and OK to get wet
Coffee afterwards

 All women ages 18 to 118 are warmly invited to join us for fun and fellowship once a month.  The date and time changes monthly, but is often on the weekend or during the evening, so women with work and/or family responsibilities can attend.
Our activities include potlucks, hiking, craft nights, theater outings, bonfires, kayaking, biking, dinners at ethnic restaurants... anything fun that we can think of!
