Michael Monnikendum, Precentor for Liturgy and Music

Michael Monnikendam holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Voice Performance from Duquesne University–where he also minored in piano and organ–and a Master’s Degree from Carnegie-Mellon University (also in Voice Performance).

Michael has worked as a professional musician for 40+ years and brings great experience to his work here at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, where he has been the Director of Music Ministries since October 2012.

During his tenure of service here, he has added to the musical engagement of both the choir and congregation by collaborating with our myriad of musicians including guitar players, percussionists, native flutes, and didgeridoos to name a few!
